ABOUT My Artwork
Raised across four countries, I approach intaglio printmaking as a meditative act of reflection and connection. Through etched lines, aquatint, and the quiet care of the plate, my work explores mindfulness, intuition, and the slow intimacy of the handmade process.
I view film photography as an extension of this slow developmental process. They are both deeply intuitive practices in which creative vision relies on gut feelings and spontaneous decisions as the process is one of chemical evolution. The mechanics of the camera, loading the roll, and waiting for an image to surface in the darkroom mirror the meditative patience of etching, mapping out aquatint and having a final print.
